At age 40, if you are having regular menstrual periods, you would be considered a fair candidate for tubal reversal. The chances of becoming pregnant are about 1 in 3 at certain fertility clinics. Depending upon the method of tubal ligation and other factors, the pregnancy rate could be as high as 46 percent.
