QUESTION AND ANSWER
How can I find out which type of tubal ligation I had?
Sep 02, 2014
At Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, we encourage our patients to go to the hospital where the procedure was done and request the operative report from the tubal ligation. Records are often destroyed after 10 years. If patients cannot obtain their records, patients can get a screening laparoscopy, which will help the specialist determine whether a tubal reversal is appropriate based on the patient's expectations and goals (e.g. getting pregnant).
