QUESTION AND ANSWER
How much tube removal is too much for a non successful reversal?
Jan 10, 2012
It would require removing 90% of the tube or more to prevent tubal reversal from being able to be performed. Our long-term followup study of over 5000 patients shows that tubal lengths even as short as 1 cm can result in a healthy pregnancy. This is only about 10% of the length of a fallopian tube before it has been subjected to a tubal ligation procedure.
