I had my tubes tied 13 yrs ago through my belly button. I'm 42 and still have regular periods. Could I have a tubal reversal?

You can have a tubal reversal 13 years after your laparoscopic tubal ligation. At age 42, your chances of getting pregnant after reversal surgery are about 1 in 3. As long as your blood pressure is under good control, there should be no unusual risks related to your blood pressure. There is an increased chance of tubal pregnancy after tubal sterilization and reversal, but as long as you follow the Early Pregnancy Monitoring Protocol that we recommend, the risk associated with tubal pregnancy is minimal.
